My Obsession

Andy pointed out that I may have some little itty bit of an obsession with blogs! Ok so maybe it's not just a little obsession I actually think it's a pretty big one! Recently I switched from using Internet Explorer to "Google Chrome". Why? Because it's pretty and fancy and I thought what the heck. So needed to move all of my favorites over and sort through them at the same time. I found that I have a TON of projects saved that I would love to do and a TON of blogs that I really like to look at whenever they update them. To keep them all in one place I added them to the side bar on this blog. It makes it easier to see if my favorites are updated and which ones I have looked at recently.
Andy also pointed out that I have made a major shift from baking to sewing and I noticed that most of the blogs have something to do with either sewing or home decor. I'm sure i'll find a few more crafts and then swing back into baking before to long! Coming soon is a list of all the quilts that I am itching to make!

More Pictures

We had the full home inspection on the house tonight and it did great! I took a few more pictures but some of them didn't turn out very good because I was trying to do it at the same time as the inspection. We have the appraisal next week and then just getting through escrow but if all is well we should be closing in 4 weeks!
I am really thankful for this week of Spring break because it is giving me a lot of time to work on my second quilt which is for Ashley's baby due early May. I want to get it done before the baby comes and before I need to start packing!

The view of the entry way and front door:

Looking at the living room from the front door:

You can see how the first two bedrooms are right off of the living room:

Standing in the kitchen and looking out. The door leads to the laundry room and then into the garage. To the left is the living room and to the right is the family room:

The other side of the kitchen (compared to the previous post) I also discovered today that underneath all of the cabinets is lighting.

Standing in the family room and looking at the dinning area. My first thing that I want to get is a table to fit into this space!

Part of the family room:

The huge skylight in the family room. There is a smaller version of this in the kitchen as well:

We bought a HOUSE!!!

After three long months and 3 failed offers, we have finally bought a HOUSE!! Keep our fingers crossed that the inspection and apraisal go through. It's a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath in a great neighborhood. It's an older house but has been fully updated within the last 5 years. We got a great deal on it! We get it on April 23rd (possibly a week earlier!) Here are the pictures from the website but I will take more when we go to the inspection next Wednesday.

Black Butte 2010

A few pictures from last weekend. We met Mom and Dad, The Kids, TeriAnn and Jesse, and the Roberts at Black Butte Ranch for an enjoyable birthday/skiing/shopping weekend.

Makenna got to have everyone at Red Robin sing to her. She wasn't sure what was going on but she loved the ice cream that they brought her!

It was a beautiful day on Saturday! The big kids enjoyed the sunny slopes while mom and I took the kids into town shopping.

The princess sitting at her thrown and opening up presents, what more could a girl want?

TeriAnn's birthday was a month ago but we got to celebrate with her and Kenna together.

Makenna blowing out her candle on some delicious tasting ice cream cupcakes.

While we were in Sisters I found this fantastic quilt shop. I was in LOVE!!! If I won the lottery, I could spend all of my money in this store!

I got some beautiful fabrics!!

I love these fabrics. I can't decide what they should be used for yet but I couldn't pass up how cute they look together!

Just for fun...

A few fabrics for Ashley's quilt.

These are going to make some fantastic pillows!

Happy Too!

We are just a few minutes away from walking out the door to spend the weekend at Black Butte Ranch with family and friends! It's been since Christmas since I have seen my family and so we have a few birthdays to celebrate. TeriAnn's was in February and Makennas is next week.

This is the apron I made for my sister:

And the bottle of wine (made by Andy's friend) and notebook to go with it:

Makenna requested purple for her birthday cake so these are a few of her cupcakes:

They all fit nicely in this carrying case I got a few years ago and never really have the chance to use:

These are what I was really excited about making for the birthdays! The Internet said that most peoples don't turn out well but mine turned out great and I love them!!

Enjoy your weekend!
